Sandburn Hall - Boys v Girls
Boys Win over the Girls
This year’s annual match between the Yorkshire Boys and the Yorkshire Girls took place at Sandburn Hall GC, home of the boys coaching on the hottest day of the year with no wind. The course was set up in spectacular fashion and looked well in the sunshine.
Each year we play 18 holes with six of Greensome, six of foursomes and the final six of fourball better ball with the boys giving 3 shots to the girls playing from the red tees and boys white tees.
The Boys all played well with our Boys Captain, Will and Harry taking the lead finishing their game at the twelfth hole against the Girls Captain, Shona and Erin. The girls had played some good golf but sadly were up against a very in form duo. The other boys were also on form, and all won their games to finish the match at 4 – 0.
Both Boys and Girls enjoy the match which is always played in the true spirit of the game, and it is always a good opener for the start of the season and gives both teams to play some new faces.
