CM Event - Moortown
Thank you for supporting the second event of the 2024 season at Moortown Golf Club. We had 196 players taking part – a fantastic field at one of the County’s best!
Despite the cloudy conditions around West Yorkshire, we ‘got away’ with the weather yesterday and enjoyed a excellent golf course and some great company. The club did a super job for us all yesterday and I heard lots of compliments being paid about the course, the clubhouse and the staff. It really was an excellent day..
Out of the ninety eight pairs playing, fifty seven of them scored 36 points or better, going to prove that Moortown is a great test. Well done to all the prize winners (see below) and congratulations to County Member regular Paul Turner of Woolley Park who holed in one on the 17th – well done Paul (one to remember!).
This was the first event of the 2024 order of merit. I will keep you all fully posted on the leaders as we progress through the season.

Apologies once again for the delay in processing the better ball scores for handicap purposes, but Golf Genius have it in hand to update their system on 22nd May.
Many thanks for your continued support of County Members and Yorkshire Golf. It is much appreciated and I look forward to seeing many of you at Doncaster GC on 6th June.
