“Happy day’s at Hainsworth Park . . . .”
For those of you that have not visited Hainsworth Park, it is a hidden secret and is well worth a visit. It has tree-lined, lush fairways, is well kept, is very scenic and offers easy walking, although some of the dog-legs provide a thoughtful challenge.
This was the view of the 118 County Members who took part in the County Members Autumn Meeting Number 2 at Hainsworth park on the 1st September.
It helped that the weather was warm and sunny, with just a light breeze to make it difiicult to find the fairway on some of the tight tree-lined holes.

Of the 59 pairs who played, 18 pairs equalled or bettered 40 points, which is very excellent.
Four pairs managed to return scores of 43 points, with the lead changing hands several times during the day, but it was York members Andy Carr and John Black, who topped the day with 44 points.
There were still 16 pairs to finish when they returned their card, so they had a very nervous wait to see if anyone would pip them
