The Yorkshire Union of Golf Clubs has introduced a process for all District Unions, Golf Club Junior Organisers and Secretary / Managers of all of our affiliated golf clubs to nominate any boy they feel has the ability, performance and capability to be a promising player, now or in the future. The information provided will allow the County Boys’ Manager and coaches to assess their suitability for inclusion into the County Boys’ coaching programme. Consideration will be given at any time, but there are no guarantees the applicant will be accepted immediately.
It is important that we are kept informed of any potentially promising boys so that that we can consider them for integration into our coaching structure and for them not to miss a potential entry point opportunity.
Also it is important to emphasise to all boys and parents that this is golf at a very high standard and is very competitive. Standards required are continually increasing and many boys will inevitably be disappointed in not being accepted. Boys must commit to a great deal of hard work, effort and dedication to become an elite player.
In that respect if you would like to nominate a boy to be considered, please complete the Nomination Form in full and return either by email to [email protected] or by post to The County Secretary, YUGC, Sandburn Hall Golf Club, Scotchman Lane, Flaxton, York YO60 7RB
However, if you prefer to discuss any nominations first before submitting a nomination form, then please feel free to contact Philip Woodcock, Yorkshire Boys’ Manager on 07811131011
