In addition to the core activities of the Union in promoting amateur golf across the County the Yorkshire Union of Golf Clubs is a key partner in The Yorkshire Development Group.
The Yorkshire Development Group comprises key organisations in coordinating, developing and delivering golf at County level to inspire lifelong involvement in golf.
In support of “Raising our game” – England Golf’s Strategic Plan the Group have a primary objective to support local delivery within Golf Clubs, ultimately resulting in more players, more members and stronger Clubs.
Yorkshire has a dedicated England Golf Regional Manager and two County Development Officers with a sound understanding, knowledge and expertise in how to best support golf clubs.
County Development Officers are able to support clubs implementing the club recommendations formed as part of “Raising our game“.
